Meet the Team!
Mentorship is a vital part of a successful academic career. The officers of the Psychology Association strive to provide an opportunity to develop safe and comfortable relationships with members so that they can always feel free to ask questions, get advice, or just have a friend who is currently walking their same path. Here, you can read up on your officers and get to know their focuses in psychology and what they have done so far here at Texas State. Find out which officer best fits your interests and get to know them!

Natalia Klepcha (she/her)

President

I am currently a senior at Texas State majoring in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology. After graduating, I hope to work as an advocate for victims of crimes. I love to read, spend time with my cat Miso, and volunteer at various organizations around San Marcos! This is my third semester as a member of the Psychology Association, and will be my second as an officer. I look forward to getting to know you all and supporting you however I can!

Lyla Keizer (she/her)

Vice President

I'm a Junior at Texas State working towards my BA in Psychology with a minor in nutrition. After undergrad, I plan on pursuing my master's & PhD in Clinical Health Psychology. I am fascinated with how our diet can affect our mental health, which is why I'm interested in nutrition and its role in psychology. My dream job would be working as a clinical psychologist in a holistic, functional medicine clinic. I love hot lattes anytime of the year, I crochet earrings in my free time, and I love reading books (my favorite genre is self-help/psychology/health books or historical fiction)! My favorite study spot in San Marcos is Jo's Cafe. This is my second year as Vice President, and I am ecstatic for this year and all of the exciting things happening in the Psychology Association.

Brandon Juarez (he/him)
Secretary
I am completing my senior year at Texas State and will be receiving my Bachelor's in Political Science and Psychology! Upon graduation in Spring 2024, I will be attending law school in the fall and pursuing a law degree and becoming a family lawyer. My ultimate goal is to make a difference in one's life and genuinely reform for the better. I have been in Psychology Association for two semesters now. I am also a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society. I enjoy the Psychology Association because it is a great way to become involved and recognized. Some things I enjoy are: fashion, music, and  photography.
Maddie Wootan (she/her)
Events Coordinator

I am a Junior at Texas State University double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. After graduating I want to purse my PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Forensics. I have been apart of the Psychology Association for 2 years and have been the events coordinator for the past 2 semesters. My hobby is trying new hobbies and not finishing them for example, I have a half done crochet project, half done embroidery project, and I have a guitar yet I don’t know how to play it. Anyway, I am excited for this year and I hope you all are as well!

Hayden Rodriguez (he/him)

Historian

I transferred from San Jacinto College after getting my Associates in Social and Behavioral Sciences in Spring 2022. I remain pretty active in campus life, I play competitive Esports for the schools Overwatch team, and I am a member of the ΣΛΒ fraternity. My goal is to become a Professional Counselor. This organization has been one of my interests since I joined this school last fall, and I can’t wait to see what we all will accomplish together!
